Since 2004, FlowVision is capable of handling the calculations where there are geometries moving with respect to the calculation domain. FlowVision allows moving bodies in 6-DOF. The movements can be based on user definitions or fluid forces including inertia. Moreover, geometries are allowed to exit/enter the computational domain.
In addition to these, full closure (such as in the case of a piston engine valve) of the flow channel is easily achievable as FlowVision allows geometry intersections.
Unlike traditional CFD software, FlowVision is not restricted by processes such as mesh deformation or does not require over-set mesh etc.
